Welcome to Okinawa O.C.E.A.N.

The Okinawa Ocean Culture & Environment Action Network (Okinawa O.C.E.A.N.) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Okinawa's marine environment. Our mission is accomplished through education, direct action, public awareness campaigns, and by cooperating with other organizations with similar goals.

I LOVE OKINAWA
Campaign

The "I Love Okinawa Campaign" began when a small group of Okinawans, mainland Japanese, and foreign residents decided to do something about the condition of Okinawa's beaches.

The Okinawa Junior O.C.E.A.N. Ranger Program is designed to let children discover the beauty and mysteries of Okinawa's marine world through hands-on activities.

The main goal of the Island Connections Program is to promote leadership and to teach children the importance of the phrase "think globally, act locally."

Maeda is one the most impressive coastline of Okinawa and the nesting site of sea turtles. The Maeda aims at protecting this exceptional site, its fauna and flora.
